Landmark was founded by an educator with deep, continuous roots in the North Texas homeschool community. Beginning in Summer 2023, the founder led PreK–teen programming across multiple educational contexts — including weekly co-op instruction, curriculum development, cooking and life-skills labs, field trip coordination, and a speech and debate program recognized nationally for its service to minority and twice-exceptional student populations.
That work grew out of a clear and recurring gap: families who valued alternative education but needed more than enrichment — they needed direct academic support, core coursework, and someone who would offer real 1:1 guidance to both the student and the parent. Landmark was built to be that support, with the structure and accountability to back it up.
Landmark Living History Institute incorporated as a Missouri nonprofit in February 2026 and received IRS 501(c)(3) recognition the same month. Landmark Academy formally achieves its own organizational identity with the 2026–2027 academic year, expanding the programming the founder has led since 2023 into a structured, credentialed K–12 experience.
